The Salvation Army Veterans and Family Center in Washington County is a transitional housing center that provides a therapeutic environment for 50 veterans and their families daily. This is truly a shelter of hope. Through intensive case management and collaboration with the Veterans Administration, clients are provided with the tools necessary to become self-sufficient. This is their story.

From homeless veterans to families that experience an unexpected job loss, the funds provided by club members sustain individuals and provide hope when all else was lost. 15000 participated! This is the ORIGINAL audition I submitted to OPRAH'S OWN TV casting call. See what's different-- it's the one Oprah didn't get to see. The OWN Team asked me to resubmit with changes, but I misread, and cut out the best part. Removing two shots with logos on T shirts is really all the changes they wanted. Oh well, c'est la vie!
